The next one on my list is Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean. I first heard this song while on the mission trip to TN this summer. The two country-est kiddos in my youth group were singing a bunch of random country songs that I really didn't know. (I wasnt really into country music then) And this song was one of them....thought it was pretty stupid when they were singing it....but Jason Aldean makes it sound good! ;p

Almost There!!!

Ok, just wanted to let ya'll know that I am still doing the shopping diet challenge. I have just not had enough time to take/post pics of me every day. But as of today...I have not bought a single item of clothing/accessory. (I have been given some gifts....but that doesn't count does it? I didn't buy it....) It actually hasn't been as hard as I thought! Although....I am sure craving some thrift store rummaging and mall shopping! I would encourage you girls (whatever girls read my blog....not really sure as of now) to consider challenging yourself with a challenge like this. I know alot of girls spend quite a large amount of money on clothes they really don't need. (let me tell ya...I was one of them!!!) You will feel so encouraged once you have completed the challenge.....and you will have some extra moola in your pocket as well. God bless Ash

AAAHHHH.....Trench Coats.

This is one article of clothing I would love to obtain this winter. I've never owned a trench coat before....but I have wanted one for a loooong time. Everytime I see a girl in a trench coat, I think of Nancy Drew...or a undercover spy. And, well, I want to look like Nancy too! lol Who doesn't?? Mabye I shall go thrift store shopping soon.... just for a trench coat..... I love every single one in the picture above! Which ones are your favorites? So, I'm officially a country music freak now. Hurrah! There are so many country songs that I'm loving while I'm enjoing this summer going into fall weather. I'd like to share with you some of my favorites, but I'll spread them out to make your enjoyment last longer. LOL :) The first one is.......

So here are some crafts that I have been working on. First off....why buy fancy decorated folders when you can decorate them just as cute yourself?

I had a spare piece of cardboard laying around....and I felt like doodling....so I made my own mouse pad!

You know those flower pin tutorials I put up the other day? Here is one I tried. It did not turn out very well at all. It may not look like a flower, but at least it is still wearable. :)

And since I am repainting/decorating my room....my old lightswitch plate does not match anymore. (it is bright tie dye) So I went and painted my own at a local pottery barn.

Well, that's what I've been doing. How bout you?

Fashion True or False Quiz

I am helping with a homemaking class every Thurs. And this week we are talking about modesty and fashion. So, I thought I would put together a little true or false quiz for them. What do ya think? Can you think of anything else to add? True or False: You should wear clothes that are too tight for you because they make you look thin. False. They only make you look bulky. 　 　 Don’t mix metals in jewelry. Gold and silver don't really match. True 　 Printed scarves with printed outfits looks great. False it hardly ever looks good. It’s usually “too much” 　 -Black matches some things. False it matches everything -White matches anything True -Wearing horozontal stripes, pants or tops makes you look skinnier. False. Be careful that the stripes aren't too wide. They'll make even the smallest person look bigger than she really is -It is good to combine two different patterns (Ex. plaid and polka dots) False. It just looks plain bad. -It's always good to have a few basic color camis in you closet for layering or just to emphasize. True -Dark wash jeans are more dressy, light washed jeans are more laid-back and playful. True -Black is slimming True -Wearing leggings as pants is comfy and cute. False. They are too tight and immodest. 　 　 　

Photography Inspiration

I am so inspired by photography. They give me such good ideas for photoshoots. Here are some photos that I love. It would be so much fun to get together with some friends and give some of these tecniques a try.

These two would be a blast to do with friends. For this first one...depending on how many friends you have....you could spell anything you wanted!

With this one...I would make some changes. I don't like the way some of the people have their hands. I would have everyone do a peace sign, or hold hands.

For some strange reason, I love pics of people jumping. Especially when it's a silhouette.

I thought this one was really creative. I love the sun beam and how it makes everyone a silhouette. And the umbrellas add a splash of color. Plus...umbrellas when it's sunny. How cool is that???

I would love to do something like this at my wedding. It just looks like they're having so much fun! I like fun wedding photos.....that way they aren't all mooshy gooshy. ;) And finally.....balloons. AHHHH!!! I Love Them! They just make me happy inside! And hello!! It's so easy to take pics with them!!! I mean, they're cheap and they look good anytime, anywhere. (Why haven't I taken some pics with them before???) I thought it was so cool how the only thing colorful in this pic are the balloons. Well, that's it for now. Oh dear....only day 6 and I'm already behind. Yesterday was a busy busy fun day (and my last actual day of summer....school started for me today.) and I just didn't get around to posting.
