Refashionista!
So, you are probably getting sick of my refashionista posts by now. But... I don't have anything else to post about. I guess I have writers block. ;) So, anywho...here is a little something I did to a sweater of mine.
I found a few cute little buttons and sewed them on in a cute little design. Then I sewed a few little stitches around it for looks. Ta da! Thats all...and it made such a difference! I'll actually wear it now!

Refashionista!
Tank refashion!!!
So, I went to Goodwill to find some cheap summer clothes that I could spruce up. I found this plain orange tank. (orange isn't usually my color, but I thought I could do something with it) This is how I decorated it.
What I did was look through my mom's sewing supplies for some buttons. And boy did she have buttons! All kinds! I went with a safari color scheme theme (he he...it rhymes) for the buttons. I then had my younger sister teach me how to sew them on. (yea...I'm pathetic...I know.) After they were all sewed on, I took some brown thread and just added a few stitches here and there for decoration.
This was just one of many ideas for buttony (I'm pretty sure I just made up a new word..) tanks that was swimming around in my head. There were so many color schemes I could have gone with! So, experiment...and have fun. As soon as the summer slows down...I wouldn't mind doing another!

Refashionista!
I am going to go on a mission trip to TN late in June. We will be painting and fixing up a house and sweating like pigs. So, I needed some shirts that I didn't mind getting gross and...painty. But I didn't want to wear a boring ugly tee....I wanted to still look unique. So while watching a movie I refashioned this old (fairly large) tee that my mom had.
I don't know if you can see very well, but I cut the neckline to where it had a little V to it. Just for something different. Then I cut the baggy sleeves into strips and tied them together in knots. (I hope I'm explaining this ok...not too good at words today.)
