In a Nut Shell....

Alright so I'm feeling so guilty right now.
I haven't written a post in over a month and pretty much deserted Blogger in general.
Life has just been crazy....good....but crazy.
And I thought summer was for relaxing...... pish posh!
So here is a really quick rundown on what I have been up to during the month of June.
*********************
Well it was my little sissy's Sweet Sixteen!!!
She had a groovy little party.
Today is actually my birthday...but no party this year.
I let her do all the partying since 16 is sweeter than 19. :)
My sister and I were counselors at Junior Church Camp.
We had an awesome cabin full of awesome girls. And of course we were the coolest cabin leaders ever!!!!
I loved getting to know each and every girl. They were a hoot!!
Justin Beiber even visited our cabin! We were that special. ;)
Actually it wasn't him...but it was fun messing around with people.
Emi and I were also the worship leaders for the entire camp, so it wasn't exactly relaxing and we had alot of responsibility, but it was a week to remember. Next was the mission trip with Ocoee Outreach in TN. This is my 4th year going, and most likely (and sadly) my last. But it was a fantastic week. This year the adults of our church who were roofing were working on the same house the youth were painting. So we all got to be together!
We also did VBS at this very tiny church. It wasn't a big turn out, but the kids who came
enjoyed it so much and thought it was so special.
Emi and I also helped out our new youth pastor/music minister with worship and a youth rally held at a local church. It was totally last minute, but it turned out pretty well.
There was also live music at a block party we organized. Over all I enjoyed hanging out with my youth group and getting to know everyone better.
I believe that we all grew closer on this special trip.
So as you can see, Emi and I have been very busy this month.
Can you forgive me for not blogging? ;)
And I promise I will start reading yours again.
YOU ALL ROCK.

Pictures of Ocoee Outreach 2010

Here are some pictures of the mission trip to TN. This first one was taken outside of Target....those who came shopping all had our Ocoee Outreach Tshirts on....and the blue looked really cool next to the red. This is probably one of my fave pics that we took. This is me scraping the paint off the house. It took forever!!!! I'm striking a threatening pose... in case you were wondering.
At our paint site there were a litter of kittens. They were so fun to play with on your free time. They got in the way though...they had paint all over them by the end of the week.
This is me (white shirt) and a friend painting way up high. I must admit... I was freaked out. Thank goodness I didn't need to be up there long. :) My sister...me... and two other girls that went showing how messy we got. (by the way... I painted Emily's shirt on purpose. She didn't get that messy by herself.)
Before Picture of the house.... After picture of the house.... and the whole group...and the home owners. Video of poor Alex way up high on the ladder. He was scared the whole time...but would not come down till he was done. He would shake so bad from fear that the whole latter would shake. He was a trooper!!! Ok...so the videos are not working for me... are they working for you all?
Video of our group at the youth rally. There was an awesome band that came and played for us. They are called Refuge 99. We had a ton o' fun!!! Im in the white shirt (front right) dancing like crazy. he he...
Alex and the lead singer of the band having a screeching contest. It cracks me up everytime. Personally...I think Alex won. What do you think? lol
Well...thats enough. You're probably bored by now. But...seriously. Consider going on a mission trip. Whether it is in the country...or over seas. GO! It may be scary at first...but once you go, you will be on fire for God. Let me know if you are planning on going on one soon....or if you have been on one before. I love hearing about mission trips!!
Peace out

OCOEE Outreach

So, this Saturday my sister and I are going on a week long mission trip to Cleveland, TN to work with the organization OCOEE Outreach. I have gone with our church for the past two years...and I have enjoyed it very much. This year is gonna be totally different though. The past two years the youth and women has done VBS and the men did construction. Well, this time the youth is doing a paint job on a house. (the owner of the house is too sick/poor/old to do it) So... I'm excited that we get to do something new and different this year. I can't wait!!! Here are some pictures of last year.
The men putting a roof on a house...
Dancing at a nursing home. (they loved the chicken dance!) (Im in the yellow shirt)

Our whole VBS group... pretty nice size.

Doing puppets at a nursing home.

My sister and I making snow cones at the block party.

I will have some posts post automatically while I am gone so... check back every so often. :)
