Just Leave the Pieces Please...

It has been raining non stop here where I live for the past 5 days.

What better to do on a rainy day than sit on your bed, strumming on your guitar.

Here's a song I have been messing around with. It's quite fun to play, and I love it when it comes on the radio. :)

Please please please tell me what you think!

PLEASE!

(do i sound desparate enough?)

I Heart Toby Turner

I am a newbie when it comes to Youtube.
I just recently began entering the Youtube world just this year.
And to be perfectly honest...I didn't know what I was missing.
I love Youtube, even more than tv itself.
Once you get hooked on certain Youtubers, you're just....hooked.
Over all, I have 5 Youtubers that I love.
So I will be doing a series of 5 posts about these 5 Youtubers that I love.
I love them in no particular order...just a FYI. :)
#1 is.....Toby Turner!!!
Toby actually has two channels on Youtube.
One is his Vlog channel which he posts videos every single day.
The other one is his Tobuscus channel, which he posts a more professional video weekly.
I don't daily watch his Vlogs, but it's nice to get on there once in a while and get a good laugh.
He really knows how to cheer a person up.
Just to give you a heads up, he has several "inside jokes" that you don't get at first.
You kind of have to watch a few to get it.
He also does nothing but ramble about random things and often doesn't finish his sentences.
But hey, that's what makes it entertaining.

Over all he seems like such a friendly, extremely hilarious person who always

knows how to have a good time.

And I really admire that.

*************

So, check him out! His craziness is sure to bring a smile to your face. "Bless your face"

New Art Posted!

Posted some new art today! Including the book cover I am working on for a friend. Check it out!

In A Crafty Mood

So I have been in a crafty mood lately....and boy have I found some nifty crafts!
I have actually started making these. They are necklace pendants made out of scrabble and/or domino pieces. Really easy and they turn out really pretty!
I'm also doing these. It's pretty much just painted rocks. But hey, they're pretty!
You could put them on a shelf or desk, put them in a bowl (you know, like you do for soap),
or give them away as gifts. I thought this was a wonderful brilliant idea, especially if a room needs some brightening up.
Just blow up a pretty picture of a cloudy sky about the size of a window.
There ya go, it's like a window that is always sunny!
Oh how I would love to give this a try.
Go to Walmart and buy a plain white pair of slip on shoes,
then get ya some puffy paint and knock yourself out!
FUN!
Ok, so just how whimsical is this bottle? It just screams Alice in Wonderland.
Here are some cute card designs I might try sometime...
maybe I could do one for my dad's birthday coming up.
And who doesn't like them some cute pillows?
Birds on a line...aaawwww!!!
This would make such a cute wedding gift wouldn't it?
I don't necessarily want to make this but, I thought it was just so stinkin creative.
Ha, so what do you all think? Are you in "the mood" yet? Which one is your favorite?
What do you love to make?

School's Almost Out...

Good morning one and all!
I saw from my little poll thing in the top right corner of my blog that some of you want to see
more "What I've been up to" posts.
That's cool...
Glad you all care! ;)
So here is the latest on mi vida...
(speaking of poll, i know more than 4 people read my blog. so vote! only 2 days left!)
*********************
1. Today I get my stitches out of my lip and possibly a little cutting done.
People have been asking if I'm nervous and I'm like,
"No way! I'm actually looking forward to it...cause it's driving me crazy!!!!"
Plus...it's no big deal.
2. Been finishing up my school year, making sure I get everything done.
I'm getting out of school earlier this year so I have a ton to do in a shorter than normal time.
Also studying for my math entrance exam for the community college.
Can you say stress?
3. Getting ready for Summit. Seriously can't wait...2 1/2 weeks on my own with friends.
Sure there is quite alot of mental work involved, but hey..
studying about worldviews is better than math and 15 page essays.
(which i need to get done before i go...)
4. Been designing and drawing a cover for a book my friend is writing.
It's seriously looking pretty good if I don't say so myself.
I'll have to post it on my art site.
(the one above is not it)
Also been knitting a hat for a guy at church, does he know it's spring time?
i dunno...
5. I've been asked to be the music leader for two different camps.
(although i think i can only do one)
So need to figure out what songs to do and what motions to put to them,
also before I leave for Summit.
******************
Well I think that's everything important.
Feeling a tiny bit stressed, but hey...
how boring would life be if there wasn't a little stress and challenge involved?
It's one way how God molds me into what he wants me to be.
God bless,
Ashley

The Perfect Party

What makes a perfect part? The theme? The decorations? The food?
I believe it's the people that make the party....
but those three things definitely help!
******************
Here are some pictures I found of some absolutely beautiful parties.
They are all so detailed and beautifully complicated.
What do you think of this world explorer theme? Ancient and wonderful!
This spring tea party would be so lovely to attend....I want to have one now. And who could say no to an ice cream social? huh? (unless your allergic to milk like me...) These are my colors right here. The go together so well and just make me happy inside. That wall hanging mosaic is so cool also! This inside tea party is just adorable, and it looks so easy to put together! I love the pillow idea! It just adds a splash of color to everything! And that bird cage hanging..... love! Wouldn't this cake go perfectly with the setting above? I absolutely love this cake, so creative! And the cookie birdies are sooooooo cute! Sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows. You pretty much got all three right here with these cakes. They would be pretty easy to decorate too...since you pretty much just stick a lollipop in it. Our Christmas bark has always been a big hit. But why not make party bark? huh? just add colorful sprinkles and viola!
This cake looks so deliciously sinful.
Chocolate and raspberries, two of my favorite things.
Colors galore! How cool is this? I would love to give this a try sometime!
I saw this cake and was like.....GASP!
(just like that)
How could you get more colorful and cute than this?
Not possible!
And last but not least, here is a link to the most beautiful and wonderful
party I've seen in a long time.
Enjoy day dreaming the rest of the day about your perfect party.
And who knows? Maybe you could use some of these ideas for a party of yours coming up!

Here are some pictures that encourage my daydreaming about summer.
Aaahhhhh...

Accidents Happen...Even to Me!

Alright, I am not usually know to be clumsy or to get myself hurt.
But ya know? Everyone has those days....
Yesterday was mine.
*******
I was playing capture the flag with my youth group last night.
I was running after this guy who had our flag!!
(trying to save the day...ya know?)
And I collided head on with another girl who had the same idea in mind.
WHAM!!!
Yea...the result wasn't pretty.
She kind of got a busted lip, and hurt her shoulder cause she landed so hard.
My tooth got embedded in my bottom lip.
ouch...yea.
So I had to go get stitches and junk.
Here is the before picture.....
And after....ewww. I look terrible!! Good thing I took all the pics for the Nancy Drew Fashion Week earlier!!! Anyways...mom doesn't like the way my stitches look, so I am going to a doctor or two this morning to get a second recommendation. So...please pray for me! Kinda nervous about what they are going to do. ciao! *Ash*
