Modesty Advice

I have a question for ya'll. I have torn feelings about this topic. So, here goes...
What do you all think about spaghetti strap shirts? Are they modest or not? I understand how its not very modest...or fashionable... to have your bra straps hangin out all over the place. But if you took care of that problem, are they ok to wear or not? I would really appreciate your advice on this...so please comment!

Personally, wearing spagehttie straps shirts by themsevles is a no no. Besides the fact that its kind gross to show your bra straps, it also is a stubmeling block for guys. My advice, wear a tight fitting tee shirt under neath!

I think they are okay if the bra straps are hidden (or a strapless bra). The bigger issue is really how low the top is cut and if it is modest from your armpits down. I think that is a greater question.

i also think it depends on the atmosphere/situation. I wouldn't wear spaghetti straps to church or to a job, but i would wear it to the beach or out with friends. I would really think hard about wearing it on a date (if I wasn't married!) since you may be alone with a guy and it may cause a big temptation for him. Just my thoughts....

I'm not really comfortable with wearing spaghetti strap tops alone. I usually wear them over a short-sleeved tee or under a bolero. I think it also depends on the situation. If you're at home and the weather's too hot for words ( or even thoughts ;) ), then I suppose it's okay. If it's only your family seeing you, then I don't think it should be much of a problem.
My advice? Pray and God will definitely give you an answer :)

I do not have many tank tops or spaghetti strap tops, but I do agree with what Natasha and Amy said in both their comments. It really depends on if you are willing to wear a strapless bra or not, and if the shirt is not too low cut in the back and front. I like wearing the one spaghetti strap top I have, but I only would wear that around the house or out on a hot Summer day to go run errands in or to hang out with girlfriend's....wouldn't wear it to work or to church though! :)

I LOVE YOUR NEW BACKGROUND & HEADER! I am in love with the header photo especially!Where did you find that photo...is it yours?

Many Blessings!

Strapless bras are an amazing thing :) lol
As long as your straps aren't showing and your chest isn't falling out, I think it's perfectly fine to wear spaghetti straps.

It is 101 in the shade today where I am from and the heat index is somewhere around 110. It IS modest, or at least a lot more modest than the alternative.
Seriously, I think it is more about personal conviction than anything. I personally see nothing wrong with a spaghetti strap. They are only shoulders after all.

I agree with most of what was said above. :) Personally I don't think showing your shoulders is wrong, but you should take care and be sensitive to what setting you are in! I usually layer a wider strapped tank or tight fitting tee underneath my spaghetti strap tops and dresses though. :) LOVE your new header... its beautiful!
