Spice Up Your Wardrobe

Do you ever open your closet, dig through your drawers, look though your accessories
and think, "wow, my wardrobe is just drab! I don't have anything to wear!"
(when really...your closet is packed full and your drawers are overflowing)
Don't go running out to buy more clothes, do something with the ones you have.
Spice up your wardrobe with these DIY ideas.
Use a bleach pen on a plain boring t-shirt.
Draw whatever you want!
Need some headbands? Cut up an old t-shirt and put your braiding skills to use!
Here is a tutorial on how to make 9 different fabric flowers.
Glue them to a pin, and you can put them on anything you want! Got some shirts that just don't fit quite right? They're a little big and baggy, so you just don't wear them and they just take up valuable space in your drawers. Use this tutorial to make those shirts wearable! Put your braiding skills to use once again and make these prettyful necklaces. This isn't a tutorial, but I just though that making button rings is such a good and cute idea!
Go for it! Be creative! Spice up that wardrobe of yours! Save money!

Links to the Past...

So I have been having a major case of writers block.
My mind has been so focused on work, school, and making sure everything on my schedule
gets done...that I don't have much time or energy left for creativity!
It's quite sad.
So I decided today to just post some links back to some of my "deeper posts" that
I have written in the past.
(yes...i do occasionally write deep stuff) ;p
We all struggle with worry in one form or another.
It not only drains you emotionally, physically and spiritually; it displeases God as well.
I have found 3 ways to begin "Getting Out of the Snare of Worry"
Depression. A deep, intimate topic/word that we often use quite loosely.
Here are a few ways to help dissolve your depressing and negative thoughts.
"Trusting God, Even When Life Hurts" is a great book written by Jerry Bridges.
In this post I have written a few little quotes from the book that really stood out to me. *********************
"A Letter From Your Future Husband" was something I found in a BRIO
magazine sometime ago. Ever wonder what your future husband might be thinking?
This letter might give you an idea.
How many times have we ignored the voice of the Holy Spirit?
Was it on purpose...or unintentionally?
Here is a little story about how my sister responded to the Holy Spirit's voice one day.

Dreaming on (I mean of) Desks

So I am now in my 2nd week of school for the 2011-12 year.
Not just any kind of school.
So far, I like it ok. It's not really any harder than high school right now.
The only difference is more homework.
That is what my life consists of lately.
Homework, work, more homework, work, and maybe a little more homework.
Life is getting monotonous...and I don't like it.
I also don't like the fact that I can't even do my homework on my desk because...well...
I can't really see the surface.
I clean it every other week or so...but it clutters right back up again.
So lately, I've been getting my homework done on my bed...which works fine...
but it's awfully hard on the butt and back. ;)
(it's true though)
Looking through pictures of beautiful desks and study areas have inspired me to clean
and spice mine up a bit...eventually.
So if you are feeling like you are drowning in homework and really don't feel like picking
up your pencil again, look through these pics.
Maybe they will inspire and excite you a bit.
So come on...tell me. Which one do you absolutely HAVE to have?
