Not much to it...

Hi ya. So I just thought I would do a little update kind of thing. Just for fun, ya know?

What I've been up to:

• Working at the bridal shop on the weekends, and am all by my lonesome. Let's just say that prom season is in full swing, and that there should have been 3 of me last Saturday!!
• Watched "The Marriage of Figaro" in music appreciation today. We are supposed to write a 4 page essay on it, which is fine, but there is one problem. It was in Italian. I couldn't understand a stinkin thing. This is gonna be fun. Yup.
• I have been asked to flim a wedding in 2 weeks. I feel important. :)
• Beth is coming to visit in exactly 2 weeks and 3 days. Cannot wait!
• I am really needing some new pants... I have one pair of jeans that fit me. All the rest are seriously baggy in all the wrong places. (like you really wanted to know that...tells ya how boring my life is right now!!!)
• Helped throw a bridal shower for the first time Sunday. It turned out really well and the bride to be was really happy.

• My new desk!!!
• Taco Bell. I could seriously eat there everyday.
• Olan Rogers... funniest guy on earth.
• Sperrys. I wear mine every single day.
• Nature Valley Dark Choclate and Oats granola bar. mmmm.....
• American Idol. I keep telling myself I'm not gonna get into this year....too late!
• Sunshine. There is not enough of it lately, but when a ray decides to shine through, it makes my day so much better.

I have been in such a mood to make a slideshow or edit something...so I made this little thing the other day. What can I say? I was bored. :)

Dreaming on (I mean of) Desks

So I am now in my 2nd week of school for the 2011-12 year.

Not just any kind of school.

College.

So far, I like it ok. It's not really any harder than high school right now.

The only difference is more homework.

That is what my life consists of lately.

Homework, work, more homework, work, and maybe a little more homework.

Life is getting monotonous...and I don't like it.

I also don't like the fact that I can't even do my homework on my desk because...well...

I can't really see the surface.

*blushes*

I clean it every other week or so...but it clutters right back up again.

So lately, I've been getting my homework done on my bed...which works fine...

but it's awfully hard on the butt and back. ;)

Looking through pictures of beautiful desks and study areas have inspired me to clean

and spice mine up a bit...eventually.

So if you are feeling like you are drowning in homework and really don't feel like picking

up your pencil again, look through these pics.

School's Almost Out...

So here is the latest on mi vida...

(speaking of poll, i know more than 4 people read my blog. so vote! only 2 days left!)

1. Today I get my stitches out of my lip and possibly a little cutting done.

People have been asking if I'm nervous and I'm like,

"No way! I'm actually looking forward to it...cause it's driving me crazy!!!!"

Plus...it's no big deal.

2. Been finishing up my school year, making sure I get everything done.

I'm getting out of school earlier this year so I have a ton to do in a shorter than normal time.

Also studying for my math entrance exam for the community college.

Can you say stress?

3. Getting ready for Summit. Seriously can't wait...2 1/2 weeks on my own with friends.

Sure there is quite alot of mental work involved, but hey..

studying about worldviews is better than math and 15 page essays.

(which i need to get done before i go...)

4. Been designing and drawing a cover for a book my friend is writing.

It's seriously looking pretty good if I don't say so myself.

I'll have to post it on my art site.

Also been knitting a hat for a guy at church, does he know it's spring time?

i dunno...

5. I've been asked to be the music leader for two different camps.

(although i think i can only do one)

So need to figure out what songs to do and what motions to put to them,

also before I leave for Summit.

Well I think that's everything important.

Feeling a tiny bit stressed, but hey...

how boring would life be if there wasn't a little stress and challenge involved?

It's one way how God molds me into what he wants me to be.

School, Worry, & Real Life

Sigh. The time for sleeping in, do nothing mornings, and relaxation is over. Which could mean only one thing: school is back in session. I have never been a big fan of school. I do alright in it and all, but I have to work hard. It doesn't just come to me; and working hard goes against my (tend to be) lazy nature. I just have to keep reminding myself that this is the last semester of my last year. (of highschool that is...) Ahh, but then comes college, which I am totally excited about! Along with the feelings of confusion, nervousness, and did I say confusion? I worry about the future, I always have. (bad, bad me!) But I have never pondered over the future as much as I have this past year. What college should I go to? What should I major in? Wait...I need money!!! What job should I take? Should I spend money on this? Should I hang with friends or study for my clep test? I need a paper bag to breathe into just thinking about it. What about you? Do you stress over the future? Do have any cool stories about how God has lead your life in the direction it's in now? Because no matter how confusing and stressful life is, no matter how much I want to lay down and give up, one thing always helps back up on my feet. The fact that GOD IS IN CONTROL. He knows what is going to happen and what is best for me, and I know He is in charge of my life. Those two facts=peace. I hope you have a lovely first day back to work, school, and real life. ;p ~ASHLEY~
